INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PL510 REAR CONTROL ARM SPRING MOUNT 234-1826

 

 

(1) REMOVE REAR CONTROL ARM FROM THE CAR.

 

(2) USING A PLASMA CUTTER, SAWSALL, CUTOFF WHEEL, OR SOME OTHER SUITABLE DEVISE, CUT THE STOCK SPRING BUCKET FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE ARM.  LEAVE THE TUBULAR PORTION THAT ATTACHES TO THE TOP.

 

(3) CAREFULLY GRIND THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTROL ARM FLAT.  CHECK THE FIT OF THE NEW SPRING PERCH PLATE WITH THE CONTROL ARM.

 

(4) ONCE THE PLATE FITS, IT CAN BE WELDED IN PLACE.  BE SURE THE COUNTERSINK FACES THE TOP OF THE CONTROL ARM BEFORE YOU WELD THE PLATE IN PLACE!!!

 

(5) WHEN THE ARM IS COOLED, IT CAN BE PAINTED AND THE PERCH CAN BE INSTALLED.  THE CONTROL ARM CAN NOW BE REINSTALLED ON THE  CAR.

 

(6) WHEN USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH DP RACING'S REAR WEIGHT JACKERS, YOU CAN NOW USE 6" LONG X 2.5" ID COILOVER SPRINGS.
